What is the 5 times table?
The 5 times table is the list of answers you get by multiplying 5 by 1, 2, 3 and so on up to 12: 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60. Each answer is 5 more than the one before, so it’s the same as counting in 5s.
Every fact also works backwards: 5 × 7 = 35, so 35 ÷ 5 = 7. Once the table is quick, practise those facts in divide by 5. After that, move on to the 6 times table, or mix every table together in mixed times tables.
