What is the 3 times table?
The 3 times table is the list of answers you get by multiplying 3 by 1, 2, 3 and so on up to 12: 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21, 24, 27, 30, 33, 36. Each answer is 3 more than the one before, so it’s the same as counting in 3s.
Every fact also works backwards: 3 × 7 = 21, so 21 ÷ 3 = 7. Once the table is quick, practise those facts in divide by 3. After that, move on to the 4 times table, or mix every table together in mixed times tables.
