What is the 4 times table?
The 4 times table is the list of answers you get by multiplying 4 by 1, 2, 3 and so on up to 12: 4, 8, 12, 16, 20, 24, 28, 32, 36, 40, 44, 48. Each answer is 4 more than the one before, so it’s the same as counting in 4s.
Every fact also works backwards: 4 × 7 = 28, so 28 ÷ 4 = 7. Once the table is quick, practise those facts in divide by 4. After that, move on to the 5 times table, or mix every table together in mixed times tables.
